Today I head to Kilkenny and there are some things that Marion wants to show me on the way up there so she takes me instead of me taking the bus like I originally planned which was incredibly nice of her. First stop was Cashel to see the castle on the hill (sprinkled a little bit before clearing up). They have periodic tours that you can join with your ticket so we take the tour that starts soon after we got there which was a great tour, lots of information about the historical context of the building.

Finishing the beers I bought back in Cork |
Because its up on the hill, it is incredibly windy in places so try not to get blown away. Its an incredibly beautiful place with views on the areas around it and the building itself is pretty impressive. After that, we head over to Waterford which has murals on the walls everywhere, a very artistic city which was great to see. We walk around a little bit and grab a delicious snack from this veggie food truck in the Pheonix yard market. After that, we head up to Kilkenny where I get dropped off at the hostel and get settled and say good bye to Marion. Walk around a bit, realizing that the churches in town are having evening mass. Walk along the canal for a bit and then get back into town and grab a halloumi cheese burger from the Istanbul BBQ house flaming great which is delicious. Halloumi cheese is something I will have a bunch on this trip and it is always so great. After finishing that, head over to Poc Fada to listen to a guitar player playing some modern music which was nice and a cool little sports bar as well (see my first football of the season). After having my beers there, I head back to the place to see if any of the places nearby the hostel are having music, which they arent, so go back to the place and have one of the beers I bought the other day in Cork before heading to bed.
