Xmas in Belgium/N. Germany trip day 15 - Heading back to reality (12/15/19) and overview

Get up early, catch a bus to the train station then rail it to the airport. Realize we got there super early compared to the lines so we get a breakfast sandwich at a cafe in the airport and just hang out for a lil bit there. Go through the passport check line which was tiny but the gate had a long security line. Both of my bags get flagged. I also had to check in to my 2nd flight in london which I was unable to do earlier when I checked in. The layover is 2hrs long and after I checked into, went through security, get to the gate and get checked yet again. However I was somehow the first person on the plane because of the extra security check which they pull you up to the front of the line as not to delay take off. We taxi out to take off but then theres a medical issue on the plane so we have to go back to the gate, and they work to get the person off so they can be treated. A few hours later, we take off (to put it in perspective, I was able to watch spider man in its entirety while they were dealing with all this). On the flight back watch a couple other movies (Angel has fallen, Toy story 4, Ad Astra) before getting back home safely.

Overview:

This trip was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of xmas market season, either of the countries and their cities/people, or how nice it feels in the cold. Since I was with someone who spoke the language(s) for most of the time, I do not know how the trip would have compared knowing only English. Probably still fine but it is a concern to raise. I will be going back to Belgium to get more of the remote brewery experience and to see it in a different season as I am sure it has an extremely beautiful countryside (imagining it would be similar to the Netherlands). Sitting here trying to think of the bad aspects of the trip and I think the only thing that comes to mind is timing, I wish I would have started later in the year to get a full feel of Belgian markets as well as the German ones to make a proper comparison. I guess Ill just have to try again.
