India/Istanbul Trip Day 8: Recovery and Reception (3/4)

Today was a lazy day for me due to the long night last night. Got breakfast then took a nap as I was still tired. Wake up, do some laundry again, do some reading and research for tomorrow's exploration, and then get showered and get ready for the day. Hang out with Gerard a bit and chill then get dressed for the reception in my other kurta. They have the bar open while people mingle in and occasional appetizers being brought around; a few really tasty things - one of which I kept calling top hats as I had no idea what they were but sooo good! Before long it was time to give the speech I had been asked to give since I knew both the bride and groom. I would like to think based on the laughs and attention, it was a decent speech hahah. Then they serve cake and open up the buffet lines for people to eat dinner. We feast and then people start heading out right after dinner. Our group is the only people left, we actually stayed so late they closed the bar down while we were still outside and brought the open bottles to my room. We head up and everyone decides to call it an early night.
We are in the right place.
Looks like itll be a good time.
The beginning of the food line once it is time to eat.
Beautiful flowers.
Good looking pair of friends!
Loving the colors and fabric of the happy couple.
mmmmm hmmmmm
They look ready to try this gorgeous cake. Only one thing to do before they can eat it...
I have to give a speech. Ritika looks worried.
Laughter is a good sign I think.
Still a little worried it seems, let me see if I can change that.
There we go :)
Everyone I swear it is almost over.
And done.
Cheers are in order!
To the happy couple!
Cake face stuffing time.
Apparently I dont get to escape unscathed.

One of my oldest and closest friends that just got married a few weeks prior enjoying a good ole American beer together.

Great looking crew. Miss you Dre.

Now with the bride!

Celebration!
