Crinkly's Good Ole American Family Road Trip Day 27: Family time in the desert (9/23/15)

Took our time waking up and then headed out to check out Sedona. Get into town and head to coffeepot cafe for breakfast. Food is decent; my omelet has avocado, bacon, tomato, onion, and cheese and the meal comes with a biscuit that looks more like ciabatta bread but tastes like a biscuit.
Crinkly overlooking the town. I do love this place. One of these days, Ill be here for a night time.
Panoramic view from the helipad area.

Red rock everywhere.

After a day like yesterday, its amazing that views like this are still awe-inspiring.

Crinkly is finding his religious roots.

Small inside area. Wonder how many people regularly attend mass here.

Different colored rocks abound.

Crinkly looking out from the perch of the church.

Other side has a slightly different view.

That is an amazing house right across from the church. Wonder who lives there.

I feel like this is a scene people would expect thinking of a desert climate.

One view of the church from below.

Better view.
We then head up to the look out on airport rd before going to the church of the holy cross, which is a beautiful, little church built into the rocks. We then head out of town to go south and eventually get to our family's places near the Mexican border. That night we have a nice family dinner and hang out around the house before heading back to our respective places of slumber for the night. For whatever reason, Warsteiner beer is cheap down here so whenever we visit, that is the drink of choice; my preference is the Dunkel.
My precious!
