After we packed up the car we headed out to take the Bear-tooth pass road to Yosemite which was full of beautiful views on a twisty-turvy road up the mountain. Eventually we enter Yellowstone and drive through it, all while stopping to take in some of the views along with some hot springs and a waterfall.

Climbing up the pass and this is what the valley looks like. Pretty awesome how there is a straight line for the clouds to not go pass. |
So rock beats cloud apparently. |

Crinkly and I posing with the clouds. |
Clouds look so puny from up here. :) |
Minibear! Just trying to get some food before the long winter. |
You know you are high up when its September and there are still pockets of snow nestled in the mountains. |
Found an old timey vehicle giving tours as we got to the rest stop in the pass. |
We are high up here. Still some snow in the distance and not too many trees. |
Lake view as we make our way into the park. |
Such beautiful/diverse countryside here. This is going to be a great place to explore. |
Winding river through the embankments. |
Small roadside hot pool. First of many more to come. |
Trees as far as the eye can see. |
Waterfall coming out of the mountains. |
Hello Yellowstone! Cant wait to explore you. |
Nature at its finest! |

Little panoramic action of the lake near the lodge where we had dinner. |
We get through the park and meet a friend's grandpa at a local bar/restaurant (trouthunter lodge) for a beer and to pick up keys to a cabin where we will stay the next couple nights. We hang out for a bit and share some stories (mainly he and my dad) before eating dinner at the place (early dinner but first meal of the day so its OK). After a few drinks and dinner, we head to a nearby grocery store (gas station convenience store but it has a deli) to get a few things before heading to the cabin. Make our way to the place and its really nice inside; rustic wood cabin off the beaten path. We get in and there are numerous beds and even a murphy bed to sleep on. We chill for the night to get our bearings as it has been stop and go the past couple days. Tomorrow we explore Yellowstone some more.
