Section A of the national burial ground here. Always sobering when you visit these national cemeteries seeing the number of men and women who lost their lives for their country. |

After lunch, we head out and make our way through Wyoming before entering Montana for the long drive through desolation. Eventually we enter the Custer National Forest, which gives us some scenery to look at similar to that of SD. Eventually we get to the target of the day, Little Bighorn National Monument. Arrive there and see the hill where many people fell in the battle and the national graveyard for US veterans. Lots of rolling hills. Nice quick visit before continuing on to Billings to check into our hotel (Ledgestone). After checking in we went to dinner at the Muzzle Loader Cafe, which seemed to be all frozen/prepackaged foods served. We were discussing breakfast plans and that one was of the options; after eating, we decided it was no longer a choice. After dinner, we returned to hotel to do some laundry and relax before the trip tomorrow to Yellowstone.
