Berry's SEAJ trip Day 58: From Kyoto to Fukuyama (8/2/15)

Got all packed up and hung out with the family before we headed out to lunch. We go to a ramen place where we have to sit on the ground without the outcropping under the table; needless to say my inflexible self struggled immensely with this arrangement to Takao's amusement.

Old style village in the history museum showing how people used to live (I assume).

We finished with the museum and walked around the area where we found some sculpture art. Berry was upset it wasnt a jungle gym.

More of the beautiful museum grounds for Berry to frolic in.

As we wandered around, Berry found a nice church with a beautiful fountain to (not) swim in.

Ahhh another castle to explore. Dont mind if we do.

We have broken through the huge door, now to pillage (Berry is excited his first siege is going so well).

We have made our way onto the main grounds. Closing in on the target.

Another gorgeous castle to allow our eyes to take it all in.

As we were walking toward the hotel, found this memorial fountain on the outskirts of the castle.
After finishing the circus show of me trying to eat, we head to the train station and I head to Fukuyama After a couple hours on the shinkansen (bullet trains) I get to Fukuyama, which is my launching point for the next couple days. After I check in to my hotel (Area1) and cool off a little bit, I go to explore the area surrounding my hotel. I wind up at the Hiroshima prefecture history museum which was nice and seemed to be set up for audio guides however I was not offered one nor did I see anything at the front to rent one, so I pushed on and enjoyed the museum as much as one who cant read 99% of the material would. After finishing in there, I explore the castle grounds a little bit before heading to find some food. After eating some hiroshimayaki (okonomiyaki with noodles – delicious, probably not healthy but delicious :) ) I head back to the hotel to get some sleep for tomorrow's big day.
