Berry's SEAJ trip Day 5: Mekong tour finale – pt 3 of 3 (6/10/15)

Realized this morning I left my sleeping mask in a previous bed (the home-stay), so before a week has passed, I already lost something. Not a good omen. After breakfast at the hotel, we go to explore a fish farm (they throw food made from fish bones and what not into the fish holes and they go crazy trying to get it.
Video of the fishery as  food is being added into the water. They are getting that food.

Not sure what they call this game but they got skills! Messi who?
It is kinda impressive the amount of thrashing that happens with food introduction) and an Islamic temple that is in the process of being built. It was approved back in 1992 but locals have been fighting it since which has delayed its completion (unfortunately the western world is not unique in its islamaphobia). After that, we get back on the bus and head back. Takes a bit of time, and I asked why, turns out they purposefully take slow roads so to make the tour last longer artificially so people think they get their money's worth. I find that incredibly frustrating as I just want to get back but having no control gotta just go with it. Eventually get back to the hostel where it all began. Talked to some European girls who had come from the north about advice for my travels before heading out and finally getting my first mango fruit smoothie (~1$) - love traveling in the tropics. This one had fresh fruit chunks on top which made it all more heavenly. :) Thought about being a fatty and getting another but withheld – that my friends is self restraint I didn't think I had. Got my stuff together as the next morning I had to catch a flight.
